Apple Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups sliced apples (about 5 medium apples)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts (2 crusts)
  1. Preparation:
    • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
    • Peel, core, and slice the apples evenly.
    • In a large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
    • Let the apple mixture sit for about 10 minutes to draw out juices.
    • For extra flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract or a pinch of allspice if desired.
  2. Assemble the Pie:
    • Roll out one pie crust into a 9-inch pie pan and trim the edges.
    • Fill with the apple mixture and dot with butter.
    • Cover with the second crust, seal and crimp the edges, and cut a few slits on top for steam.
  3. Bake & Serve:
    • Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbling.
    • Let the pie cool for at least 2 hours before slicing for best results.
    • Serve plain or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a classic treat!
