- 8 cups beef or chicken broth
- 30g dried seaweed (wakame)
- 200g beef brisket or sliced beef (optional)
- 1 block tofu, cubed
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste

- Soak dried seaweed in cold water for 10 minutes, then drain and cut into bite-sized pieces.
- If using beef, slice thinly and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- In a large pot, heat sesame oil and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add beef and cook until just browned, then add the soaked seaweed.
- For extra flavor, add a splash of soy sauce while sautéing the beef and seaweed.

- Pour in broth and bring to a gentle boil.
- Add tofu cubes and simmer for 15–20 minutes.
- Season with additional soy sauce, salt, and pepper to taste.
