Banh Mi Recipe
Ingredients:
  • 1 Banh mi
  • 100g pork (grilled, roasted, or cold cuts)
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 small carrot, julienned
  • 1/4 daikon radish, julienned
  • Fresh cilantro sprigs
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp pate (optional)
  • 1-2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1-2 tsp pickled vegetables (carrot & daikon)
  • Salt & Pepper
  1. Preparation:
    • Slice the baguette lengthwise, leaving a hinge.
    • Julienne the carrot and daikon, then pickle them in vinegar, sugar,
      and salt for at least 30 minutes.
    • Slice cucumber and chili (if using).
    • Prepare pork (grill, roast, or use cold cuts).
  2. Assemble The Sandwich:
    • Spread mayonnaise and pate (if using) on both sides of the baguette.
    • Layer pork slices inside the baguette.
    • Add pickled carrot and daikon, cucumber slices, and fresh cilantro.
    • Drizzle with soy sauce and add chili slices if desired.
  3. Serve:
    • Close the banh mi and gently press.
    • Cut the sandwich into portions if desired.
    • Serve immediately while fresh.
    • Enjoy immediately!
